Juneau, AK- December 30 – Eaglecrest is offering a variety of deals and programs during the month of January for children and adults who want to learn how to ski or snowboard. Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month, a national effort organized by the snow sports industry is intended to get families and friends outside in the winter. The slogan “Humans Were Never Meant to Hibernate” is intended to encourage children and adults to ski and snowboard – a way to get some exercise outdoors at a time when most people tend to stay inside.··

Eaglecrest offers two great deals along with a host of other programs. The first deal is the $99 Triple Play which allows people to come up three times and includes rental equipment, lower mountain lift tickets and lessons. The second great deal is the Adult Sunday Morning Learners Special for $19 which includes lift, lesson and rental equipment. Other programs include a Learn to Adapt – adaptive ski and snowboard day, Women’s First Tracks for women who want to learn to ski and snowboard and a Learn to Nordic series for skate and classic lessons.
"Snow sports are fun and easier to learn than many people think," said Jeffra Clough, Director of Sales/Marketing and Snowsports School.· "You can burn a lot of calories, meet some terrific people and have an experience that can be shared among friends and family. In addition, we just made the learning process a whole lot easier and more enjoyable with the new Porcupine Chairlift."
