January 2018 - Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month (January) may be coming to an end but there still are plenty of opportunities to learn the sports. Special promotions - Bring a Friend Challenge and #firstdayfaces – continue through the Winter Olympics taking place in South Korea February 8 – 28, 2018.
The Bring a Friend Challenge rewards those who help newcomers sign up for beginner lessons from professional instructors. Prizes include skis from Head Ski, Elan/Alpina and Dynastar/Look, Helmet/Goggle combos from Rossignol, gloves from Seitus, snowboards from Burton and Never Summer, boot bags from Transpack, undergarments from Polarmax goggles from Zeal Optics and socks from Eurosocks. Alpine Meadows in the Lake Tahoe (CA) are is offering a lift/lodging package for those who can drive to the resort.
The promotion also includes a free year of membership in the Mountain Sports Club.

The #firstdayfaces social media campaign encourages beginner skiers and snowboarders to post a photo of themselves with or without friends or family members while on their first day learning. They must include #firstdayfaces. Three winners will be selected after February 28. Prizes are $250 gift vouchers from Liftopia.com, GetSkiTickets.com and skis.com or snowboards.com.
