Thanks to all who participated in Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month 2013. More than 153,000 children and adults took beginner lessons via Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month. Many took lessons throughout the winter.

Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month supports the First Lady's Let's Move initiative. Two LSSM programs were cited on the Let's Move blog. Children and adults can earn points toward the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award (PALA) through Alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
